Read a rhyming book or enjoy a nursery rhyme with your child like “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” The repetition and rhythm or cadence of rhymes, teach children how language works and help build memory capabilities. Also, they’ve been around for a long time and they’re a great way to preserve our culture.
