National Poetry Month kicks of at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library! Slammaster Bluz unveils the 2018 National Poetry Slam trophy, which will be houses in a glass display case at Main Library during the month of April. Pam Turner highlights the “Poet is In” project. National Poetry Month each April is the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K-12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, bloggers, and, of course, poets marking poetry’s important place in our culture and our lives.
