Help your child make their own xylophone
Provide your child with the materials to make their own xylophone. They can use craft sticks, glue, pom poms, etc. Allow them to be creative and follow through with their own idea.
Introduce your children to all kinds of music.
Listen to various types of music with your children and explore what they like and don’t like; also share your own musical likes and dislikes with them. This will help them develop a sense of self.
Make music with items from your kitchen.
Find about 6 drinking glasses of the same height in your kitchen. Fill them with different amounts of water and pour a few drops of food coloring into each. Use a spoon to clink the glass and listen to the varying sounds it makes.
Allow your child to take things apart.
Allow your child to dismantle anything in your house that you don’t use anymore. For example, a computer or a TV. This is how engineers and computer scientists are made.
