Stacey’s son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) just before he turned two-years-old in 2006. Since the beginning, her diabetes philosophy has been: “not perfect, but safe and happy.”
In 2015, Stacey launched the very successful podcast, “Diabetes Connections,” to educate and connect with others dealing with juvenile diabetes.
In “The World’s Worst Diabetes Mom,” Stacey shares her mistakes with humor, gives actionable advice, and provides questions and prompts to take to your child’s health care team. She also shares how mistakes and mishaps can become a parent’s secret superpower.
