Taking practice tests for the SAT and ACT are a great way to prepare, but they can be really expensive.  Did you know that you can take a practice test online anytime for free using the Testing & Education Reference Center?  All you’ll need is your Charlotte Mecklenburg Library card number or your Charlotte Mecklenburg School (CMS) ID number.  To access, simply visit our website, and click on Resources for a full list of available content. Click on Testing & Education Reference Center and create a free account using your library card or CMS student ID number.

College Planning Center

This is your online center for test prep, college search, financial aid, and career planning. You will find checklists for what needs to be completed in each semester of high school in order to be ready for college applications, as well as articles and other resources.

Practice Tests & Courses

This area provides quick access to all online practice tests and courses. These include basic skills practice tests through college prep and graduate school exams. You will also find career exploration tools and a resume builder. Search by career path or by exam name.

 

Online Books

This collection of online books is organized by career path. You can explore many different careers and learn more about what education and experience is needed. Included in the collection is test prep books, such as SAT prep, the real estate exam book, and more.
