Make a Train!
Cut out two circles and paste them on the bottom side of a rectangle. To create a long train, make a second train and so on. You can also make a bookmark out of the trains by punching a hole on one side and adding a piece of string.
Have some fun with play dough!

Make chain links
Cut out pieces of rectangular paper. Help your child make loops out of the rectangles then attach them to each other. They can make long chains, short chains, or both. You can also make multiple chains and compare the lengths.
Compare lengths of straws
Help your child cut straws into varying lengths. When they are done, ask them to arrange the straws from shortest to longest. You can also do this activity with yarn or ribbon.
