Library History: Desegregation

This timeline was created using the local history and archives available in the Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room, located in the Main Library in uptown Charlotte.

Segregation was the 2018 topic for On The Table CLT, an annual community conversation. Libraries and other community groups held discussions all over the city on October 24th. Community members discussed the history of segregation in Charlotte and where we are today. You can learn more about the On The Table CLT project below.
