Look at pictures together and ask questions like “Where do you think the boy is going?”; “Why do you think he’s happy?”; “What is the dog doing?”; “What do you think will happen next?”. Up in the Sky!
Discuss with your child the different animals that live high, closer to the sky, and animals that live closer to the ground. For example, when your child points to a bird outside, ask them where they live.
Enjoy the Scenery
When your child goes outside, encourage them to paint or draw what they see. They can paint the sky above or the ground below.
How does it bounce so high?
Go outside an play with any ball you have. Ask your child to bounce the ball as high as they can. Discuss with them how they made the ball bounce so high.
Stack ’em High
For really small children, stacking toys such as blocks, is a good way to build motor skills. They can stack them high, then knock them down. That’s the best part.
